Denver Baptist Case Study

Sector: Education, Specialty

Size: 5376 sq. ft.

Project: Denver Baptist Church

Location: Denver, N.C.

Denver Baptist Church found that they had run out of space for their growing congregation. They were in need of additional space for their adult worship group and committee meeting. In order to allow the younger children who attend Sunday School and after school programs to stay in the main building, an addition to the church was needed and the time-frame to complete a project was stringent. Although Denver Baptist Church received many quotes from additional modular dealers, they awarded this project to IMS based on our proposed building specifications (with upgrades), pricing and committed completion date.

A building was needed for Adult Education classes and Innovative Modular Solutions was able to offer a cost efficient solution and quick turn-around time. With the project starting in August 2015, IMS was able to complete construction by the end of the year. Previously, single portable classroom buildings were being used and we were able to provided a new custom building consisting of 7 classrooms, reception area and restrooms all under one roof, allowing all of their adult education to be located in one facility. This building was built with energy efficiency as well as functionality and includes; carpet in the classrooms and vinyl composition tiles in the restroom and hallways. All lights are operated by occupancy sensors to reduce electrical costs. Each classroom is served by an independent HVAC unit and digital controls to maximize occupant comfort. For additional energy efficiency, we have included solid core interior doors, steel exterior doors and vinyl windows.
